Financial Commissioner

Valentina Georgiadou was born in Paphos. She graduated with honors from Paphos A’ Lyceum. She studied law in London and holds an LL.B degree from Middlesex University and subsequently obtained a postgraduate LLM in Commercial & Corporate Law from UCL in London. She also holds a training diploma as a mediator.

She practiced and worked in a law firm in Nicosia, until her appointment as an Administrative Officer in the Office of the Financial Commissioner. Subsequently, she assumed the duties of Administrative Officer A.

Prior to her appointment by the Council of Ministers to the position of Financial Commissioner in 2024, she held the position of Assistant Financial Commissioner from 2021.
